Caseline provides case intelligence software for criminal defense firms. This policy explains what data we collect when you use Caseline or visit this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information: your name, email address, and firm name. Authentication is handled securely; we do not store readable passwords.
Matter data: information your firm enters into Caseline, such as case numbers, charges, statutes, courts, judges, prosecutors, outcomes, and related records. Your firm controls this data and is responsible for entering it consistent with its professional obligations.
Payment information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and never touch or reside on Caseline's servers. We receive only non-sensitive billing metadata such as subscription status and the last four digits of your card.
Contact messages: if you contact us through the website, we keep the message and the details you provide so we can respond.
Usage data: basic technical information such as log records and approximate usage patterns, used to keep the service secure and working.
We use this data to provide and improve the Caseline service, to respond to you, and to keep the platform secure. We do not sell your data. We do not use your firm's matter data to train shared or third-party AI models, and we do not pool it with other firms' data.
Matter data is segregated per firm. People outside your firm cannot access it, and access within your firm follows the roles your firm assigns. Caseline staff do not read your matter content in the ordinary course; any support access is limited and logged.
Caseline runs on established cloud hosting, database, and email infrastructure providers, each bound by their own security and privacy commitments, and payments are processed by Stripe. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain data for as long as your firm maintains an account, and delete or return it upon account closure, subject to limited backup retention periods.
Caseline uses cookies only to keep you signed in securely. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
Caseline is a professional tool built for law firms. It is not intended for children.
